I have over 20 years' experience helping others find wholeness and emotional stability. I began life coaching young women and teenagers through YWCA. Later went on to work with young men ages 18-24 who were striving to reenter society after incarceration. My experience later led to helping men, women and families within a local community agency, manage stressors related to poverty. Since 2008 I've worked alongside individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma. As a private practitioner I am able to bring together my diverse experience and skills to serve a broad spectrum of clients. My training in nutrition and integrative mental health provides an effective means of equipping clients with tools and strategies to be their physical, mental, and spiritual best.
My therapeutic approach:
I consider myself to be an interactive and solution-focused therapist providing my clients with emotional support and feedback. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach. With compassion and understanding I work to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. I believe the whole person approach to healing helps one move toward a heart change rather than temporarily modified behaviors. God has provided us with a plan for living. Thankfully, He also offers us grace as we strive to walk it out. I meet the client where they are without judgement as we're all in need of God's grace. My goal is to help you feel empowered and filled with purpose.
I am blessed to have a wonderful family whom I enjoy spending time. I love playing with my grandchildren, my mother's home cooked meals, her wisdom and guidance. I enjoy laughing with my children, sister-in-law and brother. I strive to demonstrate my Christian faith and values by keeping a humble and grateful heart.
It is my hope that you will pursue the peaceful and purpose filled life that God wants for you. I look forward to meeting you and getting to know you better!
